My sister looks after ex Trotters. Parading horses are trained for one thing. When their use by date comes up, if no-one like my sister looks after or adopts them...once I looked after them......they become dog food.
The horse industry is a cruel business for a majestic animal and those who have no conscience for the animal that is not able to produce or make money.
So many times I have seen ex racers, trotters, go to the dog food factory because they were not up to standard and no-one gave a shit.
